◊ You can now make "intermittent" lines, using the Line Scripts dialog. These are lines that turn on and off as they cross the table. For example, row-wise lines might cross a column, then skip the next column, then cross the next column, etc. Each of these intermittent lines is actually made of as many real lines as necessary to create the effect.

◊ To create intermittent lines, enter values in the "Line extends for..." boxes, in the Repetition section.
◊ You can specify that line script lines are to be placed at the edges of the table, as well as the interior. (Prior to 2.1, line script lines could not be placed at table edges.) To place the "first" line at the upper edge (for row lines) or left edge (for column lines): use the "Start at bottom of row (or column)" option, with value 0. To place the "last" line at the lower edge (for row lines) or right edge (for column lines): use the "Go to end of table" option, and check "Include Edge".
The following example uses intermittent lines, and lines that start and end at the table edges. There are four scripts for this table. Each script has repetition set to skip 1 row/column. Lines extend for 1 row/column, then gap for 1 row/column. The white lines start at bottom of row/column 0. The black lines have "Include Edge" checked.
